Keith Adams is the author of ....

Broken Whole: a California tale of Craziness, Creativity and Chaos, a shocking, intense story of madness and recovery which has also been described as "perhaps the most entertaining account of mania you'll read".

Keith was raised in England, and now lives in Hollywood. He writes on this blog about bipolar disorder, gay culture, and many other subjects. He is often tempted to have the numbers 6'6 tattooed on his forehead to forestall the perennial questioning about his height. Oh, and he's 45, although doesn't look a day over 44.

Really, I Digress - Keith Adams Author's Page

My Photo
Keith Adams
Keith Adams' book, "Broken Whole: a California tale of Craziness, Creativity and Chaos", is now available in e-book form at Chipmunka Publishing. It's probably the most entertaining (in a sort of scary way) true account of mania you'll ever read. Keith perennially wonders how an abnormally tall, working-class boy from the North Sea coast of England ended up in a house in Hollywood with two dogs, and his partner, a leading medical research scientist at UCLA. Although he writes for a living (computer code), he always hoped to do “real writing”, from experience. That opportunity came from being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2006, after a serious brush with insanity. At one point, he seriously believed he would be a combination gay superstar / epochal intellectual / latter day Messiah. Quite obviously, he became none of those things, but he did survive the inevitable crash to tell the tale, thanks to the support of friends and family. Keith is gay, and lives happily with his life-partner Benhur.
